Changes in Phoenix DUI Laws

According to: Title 4 - 244.33 Underage Driving Under the Influence, any person under the age of 21 who is operating a vehicle with any form of intoxicating liquor within their body, will be charged with a misdemeanor. Being convicted for underage DUI constitutes a misdemeanor criminal conviction.

In Arizona the term “Extreme DUI” applies to any individual who has attained a blood alcohol concentration between .15 and .2. New changes in “Extreme DUI” law have changed the penalties for first time offenders from ten-day incarceration sentences, to serving 30-day sentences. Penalties for Second time “Extreme DUI” offenders have changed from sixty-day incarcerations to 120-day sentences.

Changes to Domestic Violence Laws in Arizona

According to: Arizona Revised Statutes §§13-3601 and 13-3602, in cases involving domestic violence, firearms in plain sight will be immediately seized by law enforcement agents. Also any party(s) who has been convicted of domestic violence cannot receive, transport and/or possess any form of firearms, according to Federal Law 18 United States Code §922(g)(9).
